UAE visit of Minister Reiche reaffirms Partnership between the UAE and Germany
Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katherina Reiche, concluded a high-level visit to the United Arab Emirates, underscoring the importance of the Partnership between both countries. Energy issues have been in focus of bilateral meetings with Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister for Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE, CEO of ADNOC and Chairmen of Masdar as well as with Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to reliable energy supplies, technological innovation, and economic growth.
The UAE-Germany Energy Forum brought together more than 160 senior government officials and industry leaders. The forum was opened by Minister Katherina Reiche and Underscretary Sharif Al Olama. In two expert panels, the ramp-up of hydrogen infrastructure and the potential of Artificial Intelligence for accelerating the energy transformation were discussed. The forum provided a platform for open dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the identification of new opportunities for collaboration between German and Emirati stakeholders.
The Emirati-German Energy Partnership is an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, supported by Guidehouse and the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK).
